Elder Research received a second Phase II STTR award to provide software engineering support for NASA’s Physics-Based Modeling Tools for Life Prediction & Durability Assessment of Advanced Materials. This technology significantly improves the current ability to simulate and avoid corrosion fatigue failure of engine disks or metallic structural components due to prolonged exposure to extreme environments at elevated temperatures. The initial Phase II award was received in 2015.
